There are a lot of actors leaving Corrie over the next few months.
When I think how good Brookside was on Ch4 & they closed it down & this rubbish is allowed to continue it makes me wonder about script writers.
Brookside used to be my favourite soap, sad when it finished, BUT I do love Corrie and never miss it !

I think distance is lending you a perspective that is rose-coloured there Ron.

As I recall, the storylines Brookside descended into as they hurtled towards their inevitable demise were to be found in the fertile imaginations of people who ingest industrial levels of hallucinogenic drugs!

I know Corrie has its ups and downs, but moving a soap through fifty years and keeping it relevent and interesting is a serious balancing act, and viewing figures suggest they succeed more than they fail.
Oi leave Brookside alone .....
There is a truly shocking storyline coming up that I am most uncomfortable with - hopefully it will be well done.
Is this the one involving Leanne abusing Simon.
Leanne does not abuse Simon.
Sorry wrong way round he attacks her.
That cute little boy is going to become a monster
He's always been a monster, but that's only my opinion.
*shock*

But then with a father like Peter it's hardly surprising.
Poor lad's had an awful life so far.
Not looking forward to that storyline either. Another complete change of personality for a soap character !

He's never going to become an actor.

I suspect it won't be a sudden change. He'll have to deal with Carla leaving, losing Grandma Deidre and going to her funeral, Leanne in mourning over Kal, never mind the start of puberty.
Yeah, good point hc.
I'm welling up just thinking about it. No mum, dad or grandma to call his own.....
I forgot he lost great-grandma Blanche, too
