Don't wish to pry but with regard to your recent episode was a cardio version involved? Only ask as my cardio consultant is sending me for one which I am not jumping through hoops about as it would seem it was a foregone conclusion that Iwas to have one without waiting for further tests i.e. Echocardiogram, Holter 24hr monitor and ECG. These have been done but it seems his mind was made up before the tests were all completed.

I was given a pacemaker because my pulse rate went down to 28 beats /min.
I can only assume that your situation is that of a fast heart rate due to auricular fibrillation from coronary heart disease.....just a guess.

Spot on. 170 beats per min but apparently back in rhythm with a slight flutter which I was unofficially told by the techs who conducted the post admission check/procedures.
I saw the consultant 2 days ago . He had a pile of my notes in front of him but didn't know what anti coagulant he had prescribed to me in the ward a few weeks earlier.
First thing he asked was what was my date for my cardio version.? What. Not got a date. Hadn't been told I need one.. Not listening.Started looking at PC screen at my echocardiogram. I suspect that was the first time he had seen it and I was sitting there holding the ECG paper which I had previously just had. He hadn't yet looked at that but seemed hell bent on a version for me.
Oh well.Such is life. Thanks for your time and input Sqad.
