Strange Thread.

I often see the "Roger & Val have just got in" thread - which has evolved into chat about many other things - on Recently Answered tab, but never see it in Latest posts. I've been on AB this morning from 8.30, and the last post on that thread was at 8.51. It didn't appear on Latest posts. Why is that?

I supposeI'm too young and the wrong sex for the self-proclaimed old biddies group. It's simply a small group who use old threads to have private conversations. Once a thread gets towards 1000 posts long they seem to move to another old thread. It does no harm (other thangoes against the guidance of avoiding chat in non chat areas -eg the Paypal thread) and because it doesn't appear on Latest Posts their regular chat doesn't disturb everyone else.
Quite a good idea really. Maybe spy networks use very old AB threads for 'under the radar' conversations too!

Some topics don't appear in their though, O_G (Chatterbank, crosswords, jokes, Q&P I think) although I suppose you would see them under Recent Posts if you select these topics first.
It's interesting to look at Recent Posts because you sometimes ee spammers posting on 10 year old threads or someone replying with advice on a health issue from 2003
