Did anyone else feel a bit let down at the end of Unforgettable? It just seemed lot fizzle out after Tom Courtney's character said who it was who had killed Jimmy. They seemed then to want to finish every strand off as quickly as possible.

Yes, my wife and I were most disappointed with the endind. It felt to us like they'd written it for 7 episodes, suddenly realised it was for 6 and just bashed out the ending. We also thought that the three stiries running through it woud link together at the end but that didn't happen either.

Yes bhg that's exactly how I felt. I also felt that it wasn't a good thing to lay the blame on the wife who had dementia, as there was no way she could defend herself. Most unsatisfactory.
I fully concur, and I don't think Trevor Eve's character would have behaved so calmly either.
It was a miserable series and like bhg481 we were waiting for the story lines to connect up.
Its not the end of the story -there is going to be another series.
Also the actress Nicola Walker seems to have taken over from Olivia Coleman as "flavour of the month" being on quite a few different programmes.
I've just checked and a new series is on the agenda but with a new story line - I won't be watching it -what a waste of time it could have been so good.....
No.
Thought it brilliant from start to finish.
......but did the wife do it? My suspicions were with her son. When he went to visit her in the home, the nurse said something about his Mum being lucky, to which he replied, 'No, I'm the lucky one.' Wonder what he meant by that?
Question Author
Was that the son who was horrible to his mum? He moved her glass away too. Looked like a chip off the old block, as the father was really cruel to her.
I thought this was a very good series and the fact that all the stories did not completely link up was part of my interest. As it went on I realised that not all the stories would lead to the murderer but they were still linked.
I wasnt concentrating by that time

I thought Tom C said 'o my wife did it and I am a secret gay'
and the police lady said " o yeah OK then, I did wonder you know.'

and then SHE gets put in a locked room where her son takes the water away from her ( what was THAT about ? )

and he does time - what for - preventing a burial of a dead body

but as I said I had lost concentration by that time
I thought it was excellent.
I thought it was excellent. It was brilliant they way that the discovery of one body opened up a wave of secrets indirectly linked with the murder.
Hi helly, I enjoyed it, thought the acting was really natural/ credible! Loved the theme tune, had to chase that up! ..
Another link .. hopefully it'll work ..
Nope.
Question Author
I thought the acting was brilliant. It was the conclusion, it didn't seem to complete some of the threads satisfactorily.
I thought it was weak, my money was on her from the start, the only slightly connected person. Trevor Eve's character seemed far removed from the rest.
