Did anyone watch this last night? I'm not a lover of Agatha Christie's work, but as it had the lovely Aiden Turner in it I tuned in. I'm so glad I did, it was excellent. Intriguing storyline, great cast, and beautiful scenery to boot. Can't wait for the second part tonight

Recorded it but does not seem to have worked
Gone to I Player
The huse is a fantastic example of Art Decor -does anyone know if its really on the island or has it been digitally added?
I haven't watched it but Art Deco house on An island makes me immediately think of Burgh Island.
'Were' is correct
'None' means 'not any'
As for the programme, I might watch the last part and see if they stick to the book. I've seen so many versions and they're all given 'happy' endings
Eccles -apparently the Island is a fictitious Island based on Burgh Island -the hotel is not quite in the same place in the series as it is in real life so I think some photo-shopping has been done.
aside from the english lessons......

was it worth watching for its dramatic content?

or just because aidan turner got his kit off?
It doesn't surprise me that a bit of CGI was applied. Burgh Island has been used in a previous Agatha Christie story so it would have looked odd to see again.

A property I know well in the heart of Surrey was used in a Poirot, it was a surprise at the end when they all stepped on to the terrace overlooking the sea.......
I thought the original title was 'Ten little Ni--ers' ?
Thought the whole production was just so 'best of BBC', a real moody classic AAAAAnnnd - spotted a vintage dressing gown that my friend sold on ebay! I know a famous dressing gown!
fourteen - you've just quoted the UK title for the book published as "Then there were None" in the USA.
It was also published briefly in the UK under the title Ten Little Indians.
Did anybody else notice that the picture of the full moon shown about 30 mins into part 2 was shown back-to-front?
