Noel Edmonds Beard!

Happened to be channel hopping yesterday and caught site of Noel Edmonds, haven't seen him for years, what on earth has he done to his beard?
He looks ridiculous, it reminds me of a police e-fit picture or something that my kids used to do on Magna Doodle back in the day!
Does he not have a mirror at home or does he think it looks good, his hair and beard do not match, the man needs a complete overhaul!!

His beard does look a little darker in that clip, I know nothing about dying hair but surely his beard is so short it would be almost impossible to die and would need to be died every few days?
