Do I really want to watch this again? Mr T had downloaded the latest version.
I'm not that bothered. I have seen it so many times.

How many adaptations have there been of this book? Anyone know?

If it was The Woodlanders, that would be a different story, wouldn't it?

Filmwise I only know of the original with Julie Christie and have no desire whatsoever to watch this new one. Have no idea why they remade it either. I do remember when they were asking locals to try out as extras when they were filming down here.
Julie Christie and the new one - agree Prood

Julie Christie has been on twice - perhaps you are getting Hardy fatigue

Hi, Tilly...don't know how many adaptations there have been but you are quite correct....
....The Woodlanders would indeed have been a different story... ;-)
Joolz was shown a few weeks ago and then re shown a few day ago
sort of ....

I dont really keep a tally of the times FFTMC has been transmitted
We're not talking how many times it's been shown but rather how many adaptations there have been. Filmwise as I said I only know of two.
o I had two columns in my mind

number of films
and number of transmissions of each film or series

I un necessarily complicate things I admit
woodlanders
I can only think of one - black and white - 1968

I'm sure there was a television adaptation of FFTMC. I may be wrong.

I don't care. I don't want to watch the new one.

Mr T has deleted it. Such power I have!
there is a 1998 version

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0157616/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3

wh I automatically deleted from my mind
as I didnt want a darzetter played by a spanish lass - dark eyedd and alluring or whatever
Bathsheba should always have been played by a dark eyed dark haired beauty IMO. I know everyone loved Julie Christie but she was so wrong IMO. In fact to prove I'm not prejudiced the next one should played by a black actress. What does it matter.
Eh? Wha? Somebody called me? ;) x x
