Virgin Media Tv. Can You Help
12 Answers
I know there is a Virgin media community site but I want to reach out to see if anyone has the same faults as I have had for some time.
When watching "delayed tv" last night around 7.20 suddenly the Emmerdale programme playing was replaced by the "Dickenson Real Deal" programme shown yesterday afternoon. The only way to get rid of it was to revert to "live TV".
Real Deal was not recorded.
Intermittently in the past few months when watching a recorded programme there would be an interruption when the same thing would happen. Engineers say they have never heard of such a thing!

It is the worst thing I have ever done and cannot wait for the contract to end and go back to Sky. Programmes that we tape nearly always end to soon so we have to add extra time to every show. When we play some shows back, despite the description on screen being what we wanted, we get a compeletely different show which wasn't even on the same channel or at the same time. Tried for weeks to get some shows on series link but could never manage it so had to add them on every week yet other shows linked quite easily. Useless when we went on holiday. The box gives out a very low hum all the time which is like chinese torture.
Can't wait to get rid of it.

Don't want to take over needawin's posting as I do not know the answer to their question. Virgin say there is nothing wrong with the box. If I read the blurb correctly online then I can pay £240 to get out of the contract which I am quite willing to do as Sky contact me weekly by email and by post to try to get me return and I could get the £240 back in the first year. Even if Virgin worked properly you have to press so many buttons to get shows you want. Sky was so uncomplicated.
//From February 2012, the V+ is only carried as a replacement for faulty V+ boxes, or sometimes offered as a secondary set-top box in the home.//
