Off to see Jimmy Carr this Friday in Worthing......anyone seen him live? Do you like/don't like him?
Do you like 8/10 Cats Does Countdown?
I know he's brilliant with his comebacks with hecklers, if any dare, and always hangs around after his shows in the foyer to meet and greet people who want to chat to him.
Quite looking forward to it.

I've seen him before, he's very good. At the end he usually opens the floor to questions from the audience about anything. I asked him who he liked and disliked when he does QI. Said he liked Rory McGrath but always found John Sessions took it all a bit seriously... but I digress. You'll have a great time but if you're in female company I'd forewarn them, he is...

Thanks for the tip, ChillDoubt......Yep, The female grabbing ho!d of my arm that night is none other than my good wife of 24 years, Mother to several of my children, A fruitcake to live with, and all round good egg and my soulmate.
I have warned her that he can be a bit salty.....she has a great sense of humour, so, hopefully, will love it.
Remember years ago, saw Jim Davidson at The Circus Tavern.....she didn't understand his accent at all....which is just as well, as he was smutty and drunk to boot.

I have only seen JC on video, but it was one of his shows, so I got the gist.
I think his invention is amazing, how he writes a new show for each tour, and he tours all the time.
He eats heckler! But he does tell the tale of a heckler who bested him during one of his first shows as a stand-up -
JC was proceeding away, audience on his side, when a loud man in the audience announced "My mum died of cancer you know ..." and Mr Carr felt the atmosphere drain away like a popped balloon.
"I wasn't even talking about cancer ..." was the comedian's somewhat lame response.
"No, but it was still funiier than this!" came the response!
Mr Carr was utterly unable to follow that, and made it his mission to retain control at all times. Now hecklers take him on at their peril, he is far too quick, he has the microphone, and he will make you crawl under the exit door without opening it if he catches you trying to 'join in'.
JC always says he likes the laugh followed by the gasp afterwards. The sort of 'I think that is really funny, but I am a horrible human being for laughing at it ...' and that humour appeals to me.
Please let us know what you think.
