The Compliments of the Season to you if you're reading this.

In Episode 2 of Season 1 of Peaky Blinders, Cillian Murphy rides a white horse against a dark and forbidding, industrial background, with tall chimneys belching smoke into the air and there also appears to be a canal flowing through the site - the image is very striking.

I am aware, of course, that a lot of the filming was done in Liverpool - and I'm assuming that this sequence was shot in the dockyard area - but does anyone know where precisely this sequence was shot?

Birmingham, I think. A lot of it was filmed at the Black Country museum.

Thank you for your reply, Tilly2, and I've no doubt that you're right and the sequence to which I was referring wasn't shot in Liverpool. Happy Christmas!
