Anyone Read The Inspector Morse Books

what car does Inspector Morse drive in the books by Colin Dexter? (I'm well aware he drives a Jaguar in the TV series)

The book, definitely but I think in the tv series it was revealed in the last episode The Remorseful Day, but I'm not positive about that
