I'm always nervous to take one. I suffer with acid of stomach lining at times and it can be very sore. I rarely take them if I can help it, but they are a good pain reliever & anti inflammatory.
i really am surprised that the Finnegans did not know about taking such painkillers were to be used as directed,, for heavens sake they must have many times over the years on their programme warned people about these drugs. these drugs are safe if use AS DIRECTED
If anti inflammatory medication is prescribed by GP's, they would normally also prescribe medication such as omeprozole or ranitidine to alleviate any stomcah problems associated with certain medication. Our GP does as a matter of course.
Judy Finnigan abused alcohol and clearly had either stomach ulcers due to this or at least alcoholic inflammation.
She shouldn't have taken Ibuprofen OR Aspirin or Paracetamol, but ibuprofen is as safe as any other analgesic for someone with a healthy stomach lining.
