Removing Email Address From Old Phone

I have a new iPad and a new mobile phone. On the old iPad and phone, can I remove my email address ( and therefore messages) before giving them away, and will my new iPad and phone still have my email address and messages? I am using my indoor WiFi for all devices. Should I remove anything else? Many thanks

I would do a factory set up on anything that you are giving away.

Thanks woof ... but if I delete anything from my old phone and iPad, using the same WiFi at home, will it automatically delete it from my new phone and iPad? Sorry I am not technical and I don’t want to lose everything on my new iPad and phone !! Thanks all

If you have saved everything in ICloud turn off your old devices and set up the new ones. Everything should download to the new ones. Check this is done before doing a factory reset on the old ones

sign out of your old stuff before doing the factory reset. This will disconnect the old stuff from your account and you can then do stuff to them without affecting your account.

Sorry but how do I sign out of the old stuff?? Sorry to be a bit dim ...... not sure if I am backed up to iCloud. Told you I wasn’t technical .....

Everything is set up on the new ones and I am using them ....

If you have everything transferred to new phone iPad then just reset old phone iPad to factory settings by doing a reset. You will find it all in the settings. Your new ones will be fine.

I agree. If everything is loaded onto your new device, then a factory reset should clear the old data from your old one.

Everything is loaded onto my new device. So if I reset old phone and iPad to factory settings will it affect my emails on the iPad and phone I am now using??? That is my main question, thanks all
