a couple moved into our road 2 doors down from us they have 3 rugrat dogs that bark all the time when they are out but just lately they open their back gate and let them run about the alley where they poo by our and next door garage ,i don't want to fall out with them .i'm just about to get the hose out and wash it down to their back entrance .

Video them and send anonymous copy to council/envi9ronment people. An address for the dogs would help.

I HATE irresponsible dog owners who don't pick up poo. In all onesty I am mild though, and hate falling out with anyone so would probably silently fume about it

but its going to get to bad feelings anyway, if they let the dogs run riot, why should you have to put up with the mess...

I suppose you could knock on their door and tell them that their dogs are pooing and could they please clear it up.

that's what i've been doing but today i said to mr mally i'm getting the hose out

I would approach them in person, also saying that there are a lot of dogs being stolen these days and maybe they weren't aware that all dogs seem to be targetted.Especially small ones, used as bait dogs for dogfights If that doesn't work the council should have a dog warden who might give them a friendly call. Keep good records you might need them.

Mallyh,you are worrying about upsetting the new neighbours and bad vibes, well, as i see it, they are new in your life, you were there the whole time and it is them that should be worrying about upsetting the neighbours - some ground rules need to be establised or next they might be bringing oul bangers of cars up and leaving bits of wheels and heaven knows what around. They don't care about any of you by what I have read, I would not send anonymous videos to the council, but i would tell the newbies, you have been cleaning up their pets poo and it's unfair, you have it on video and if they don't get their act together you will pass the footage on to the council, are they renting? new buyers, renting from a private landlord, if it is the latter, tell them you will be having words with the landlord - I would be furious, you are a very calm couple to let them away with that and it leads to bad health too, stress and all that kind of thing, get it sorted before they walk all over the neighbourhood

I was wondering if maybe they were ill, or in quaratine.
If not, that is so wrong!

they are the same age as us he always says morning etc ,they aren't disabled

I'd speak up to them and suggest they do something before someone calls the dog warden.

bleach is a good repellant to dogs

emmie , haven't spoken to them but they have seen me hosing down ,the lady opposite me also has been cleaning up other dogs poo we spoke yesterday and i asked if she minded if i bleached all around the garage entries as the car tyres are getting covered as we go into garages .i sit watching the camera a lot now to try to catch the individules letting their dogs go .
