Sky Box

My nephew was up and installed the Firestick etc but when he looked at the Sky box he said it was very old - I have been contacting Sky via emails maybe 8 times, I have asked for an upgraded Sky box and new remote control.

A lady sent me an email tonight saying that I will have to pay £30 for the equipment.

Now I was waiting until I had got the Firestick a little sussed out but I was thinking of giving Sky up as I pay £37.70 a month. The lady said I was paying for packages (unknown to me) like kids package and they could reduce to about £30.00

Does the Firestick do all the jobs of the Sky. The only thing I would miss Sky would be as in Recording Purposes.

Any thoughts please.

I watch a good bit of TV but am finding out from Firestick that I just think of something and can usually get it via YouTube. As I said I only used the Sky for recording something that is maybe on in the middle of the night etc. And I've only got the Firestick about two weeks now.

I believe I can get some Sky programmes on the Firestick - I'll look into that tomorrow.

Most TV you can get on catch up and don't have to through youtube.

What Sky channels do you watch? You can subscribe on a monthly contact to Sky though Now TV on the Firestick. You need to wok out what Sky channels you watch and how much you pay and compare it to Now.
You also need to be sure you can do without the record facility

I know re about the recording issue but like I would say I watch TLC and I can't remember the other channel.

To be honest I sometimes have so much recorded I have to delete most because I don't have the space on the SKy and I don't have time either.

As somebody on here once said - you can only watch one channel at a time - very true.

As I said I have not gone over a lot on the Firestick.

Also if I wanted to watch programmes on Firestick on my upstairs TV (at night - with Sky gone). Do I have to buy another Firestick.

i don't understand your issue with the firestick?

I can't remember what needs doing but I did it so it means it's simple :-)
