I've been a big fan of this series but the last series bored me. Hope the new series will be better - I knew it was coming because they have been filming at the Black Country Living Museum.

I doubt they will have another Polly, if the family allowed it I would expect her character to die in the series, off screen. Ada could step in to the matriarch role, perhaps

I really do hope not, Kustard. In fact, if they go down that route, i probably won't watch. If i recall, she was about to embark on her honeymoon. Perhaps an 'accident' while she is away would be the best way to write her character out.

Or, perhaps with the blessing of Damian Lewis, Aunt Polly could be 'assassinated' by one of Tommy Shelby's enemies leading to a sub-plot to whatever has already been written?

No, her financé Aberama Gold gets murdered. In the last series she is thinking of going to America with her son Michael and Gina.

The show's creator Steven Knight confirmed during a Q&A at the BFI that the star's character would return for the final season.

I think Helen manged to get some vital scenes in before she became too ill to work and they will work around those. Steven Knight also confirmed that the character Aunt Polly does not get killed off in what will be the Final series of Peaky Blinders.
