How good was the opening scene between the two sisters in the cafe in last night's episode. I watched on iplayer and thought it so good, i restarted the episode and watched it again. Take a bow Sarah Lancashire and Siobhan Finneran. You too, Sally Wainwright - brilliantly scripted.

Yes, extremely good. The whole episode was superb. When a programme really enthrals me I find myself watching it with my head slightly on one side (strange, I know) but it’s a long time since any TV programme absorbed me so much.
Incredible acting .
Agreed, it was brilliant, as is the whole programme. If there aren't awards forthcoming, there's something wrong.
You really have to concentrate or you lose the plot. There's so much going on in it.
Agree with all of the above - best thing on TV since Spiral finished.
Would love to know how the two directors (one of whom is Sally W) manage to work together, very unusual.
The scene in the cafe was just brilliant. It's rare I close my laptop but the minute this programme starts I snap it shut until it's over. It's already won lots of awards and they will continue.

I have read a lot of reviews on this programme and every one of them is full of praise.
It's the only programme on the TV at the moment that I actually look forward to and the only one where I put my phone on 'Do Not
Disturb.'
I appreciate it has to come to an end at some point but I won't half miss it.
The opening scene was just brilliant. Couldn't praise it highly enough.
Another great episode. But who is the woman with the chopped dark hair Catherine was speaking to outside the police station? I remember seeing her in the last series but can't place her.
She's the one he had locked in his flat for days and raped her. She's the daughter of the older guy who owns a business. Sorry a bit vague but can't remember names.

Ann Gallagher. She is a rookie cop, assigned to CID at the moment.
Ah thanks. And is the guy who went to Leeds Court to report on the trial and is looking into the gangsters Catherine's ex-husband?
I know she's a rookie cop, but she was involved in the previous series, which is why I was asking
Yes that's it. She's Gallagher's daughter. TLR held her hostage.

Yes, he is a reporter, Catherine's ex.
I think this is the best programme on tv at the moment. The acting is quite brilliant. I just wonder how it will all end. Also, how did he arrange everything? Fantastic series.
I had never watched this until recently and I binge watched the first two series. I love it. I can't wait for the next episode. I wonder if Ryan will end up having to despatch TLR to save his grannie because I assume that TLR will go after her?
helly - in an earlier episode we saw that he had acquired a tiny mobile phone during an arranged altercation in the prison kitchen
I panicked when I looked at my clock and saw it was 9.04pm!
James Norton is a superb actor. And gorgeous too!

Yes this is the best thing on television at the moment.
Can anyone answer this? Do you think the "shop" that TLR ran into to get his change of clothes for riding the bike was the same shop where Catherine's sister's boyfriend Neil works????
