//Democrat insiders have blamed “arrogant” Joe Biden for Kamala Harris’s election defeat, saying he set her up to fail by not dropping out of the race sooner.

“His legacy is in tatters,” said Jim Manley, a senior aide to former Democratic Senate majority leader Harry Reid. “The country is headed in a very dangerous direction and it’s due in part to his arrogance.”

“This is no time to pull punches or be concerned about anyone’s feelings,” Mr Manley added. “He and his staff have done an enormous amount of damage to this country.”

Mr Manley joined other influential Democrats criticising Mr Biden, who have said the party squandered months of campaigning when he held onto the presidential nomination too long.

Biden finally pulled out of the race in favour of the vice-president in late July.//

I dont believe it was becasase she was a woman.  It's sheer incompetance and lack of policy combined with being associated with the Biden Administration and a poor economy.  As was said in Clintons time "The economy stupid"Americans have voted for their wallets, immigration and the American dream.  This has included swings by the Blue collar workers...

No.

The Liberals after balling their eyes out yesterday are looking for someone to blame.

They dont seem to realise it is their policies (or lack of them in the case of HArris) that are to blame.  How could they they believe they are right and everyone else is a deplorable or something similar.  We dont have to go far to see this, just look at the Left  on here yesterday.

The left dont get it and never will. They are right and everyone else is wrong. They never consider or respect any other opinions other than their own.

I still believe that at the root of all this, is America is still not ready for a female president. It might be ready at the next election, depending on how effective Donald Trump has been.

Americans have voted for their wallets, immigration and the American dream.  This has included swings by the Blue collar workers including Whites, Latino's, Asians and Black community to Trump.  Although of course he is apparenty a nazi racist!

None of the above is on the Democrat radar.

It was incompetence in allowing Biden to maintain his candidacy for so long & then putting up Harris as the only alternative. If they had parachuted in a celebrity candidate (a la Ronald Reagan) earlier in the game the Dems could have walked it.

The Democrat movers & shakers are to blame.

i don't see how it is biden's fault. the majority of votes were cast for trump... i doubt very much an earlier change would alter that.

I suspect the majority of Americans weren't ready for a 'black' female president

No when a party brings out the Liberal elite Taylor Swift etc. saying they support a certain candidate there's an immediate disconnect Obama Cameron for example.

if january 6, the attack on abortion rights, project 2025, trump's obvious aging and mental unfitness, the hate speech directed at puerto ricans and transgender people, the frequent support of neonazi militias and all the rest... if that was not enough to dissuade 70 million americans from voting republican then the democrats could have had jesus himself on the ticket and still lost. the majority of people who voted want trumpism. pity their victims and if you care about america then do what you can to aid them.

untitled, I think you'll find that like this country, most Americans are not on a mission for any of those causes.  They're more concerned with keeping hearth and home together, their jobs and their day to day living.

70 million neo-Nazi Americans remember Untitled.Your words.

Biden is partially to blame, as is Harris.  Both of them presided over a disastrous four years for the average working American, many of whom are crippled by rising taxes and the cost of living.  When you desert the working class,  the working class desert you.

They could stop trying to apportion blame and stop looking at it as a Harris defeat and see it as a Trump victory instead .... but they probably don't want to do that.

As YMG has said, the Democrats have only themselves to blame. If they hadn't been protecting Bidens faculties or lack thereof for so long they would have, possibly, had longer to choose a worthy candidate and had longer to campaign.

Thankfully, they didn't, the campaign seemed to go on long enough.

//the hate speech directed at puerto ricans //

What you mean the 'garbage' joke that Trump didnt say anyway?

Do you know the background of that, I'm guessing you dont.  It is becasue Perto Rico has a massive rubbish disposal problem, the Land fill is full and they have no where to put it.

That is why it appears the Peuto Rican vote in the US still backed Trump, they know what its like and that is why they left it, like many others are trying to.

The vast majority are not interested in minority issues, trans rights, net zero or any such issues that the left seemed to be obsessed with. Its normal stuff like cost of living, housing, jobs, health, schools, family. Any politicians that focus on the important stuff will always beat the militant lefties.

I doubt Biden had much affect. The public would know he was only the doddery front guy for the Democrat team. Much as Harris would be. But I suspect another term of the same was more than most could tolerate.

OK this may sound weird, but has anyone considered that an awful lot of Americans may have been blooming peeved by all the world/foreigners mocking Trump?  And literally just said something on the lines of "***. We'll vote for who we want, it's now't to do with the rest of the world and if you don't like the result ---- tough".

They are very defensive and insular.  I remember being so peeved by Obama shooting his cuffs and saying that we would go to the back of the queue for deals if we left the EU that it absolutely confirmed my belief that voting 'Out' was the way to go.

OK, it's been asterisked   I wrote that they might say '*** *t'.

And again  'S** 8t!'
