Chair Head Rest Protector

There was question on The Chase about what you call an item on the head rest of an old chair to prevent it being soiled by cream...does anybody know what it is called ?

I still use them on my leather three-piece suite. Not that we use hair oil but I don't want greasy marks on my lovely chairs and couch.

I believe that macassar was a type of hair oil, and the anti... saved the chair from becoming stained and greasy. It could be washed.

It was, preceded Brycreem, another hair product that can leave marks.

Do they still use antimacassar on planes?
