When I was working I'd sometimes have a bacon one with HP sauce , but not since.

Used to love a BESBP sandwich made with thick bread

Bacon, egg, sausage and black pudding

Toasted cheese sandwich occasionally.

When we had a proper bread shop I the village, 2 fresh white baps, bacon and a fried egg, see who could eat  it without losing the yolk,

Never for breakfast, no.

Today I had cheese on toast with onions & a touch of mustard. Does this count as a sandwich???

^. It does, and a very tasty one it soundstoo.

Occasionally, I like a poached egg on toast for ( late) breakfast. Not sandwiches though.

 Bacon sandwich weds morning.

Some 40 plus years ago I used to deliver meat to a local factory, main canteen first, then other half a mile away, lastly to the last drop where the directors and managers are, here Rita would make me a sandwich from last week's left overs, sometimes sausage, sometimes bacon or last of all a fried egg, this as thank you for bringing her some bread from the first drop.

Sometimes have a

Bacon sandwich.

We don't eat anything until lunchtime so, yes, we always have a sandwich for breakfast.

Sausage and mushroom was another favourite

Not if breakfast is early, but often at the weekend we will have a late breakfast of a bacon or sausage sandwich about 11ish. Yummy!!

Never. Always cereal or porridge. Sandwiches are, imho, for dinner/lunch or supper.

I often have a bacon sandwich for breakfast, sometimes with an egg, sometimes a sausage or sausage and egg. A tomato could also feature in any of those things. The sauce must always be brown.

I will also happily have a sandwich for lunch although it won't be like any of the above.

The Badenoch comment to which you're referring, about sandwiches not being real food is moronic.

another tip for you Sandy - My mum and I were not HP people oh I mean HP sauce people but now I would use it now and again.  Give it a go.
