Elected with only 20% of the vote he's doing his best to ignore the democratic will of the majority.

What will he have to give away to get them to let us back in? Abolish the pound? More dosh than ever before? Capitulate to every silly rule they have in Brussels?

this would be an extremely foolish and destructive thing to do. i don't think starmer will attempt it but if he does then i truly despair. hy yes i think rejoining now would require us to join the euro and go without the opt-outs we secured while we were members. more importantly it would reopen the wounds left by the 2016 referendum and see this...

Rattled bitter Tory still trying to come to terms with their record overhelming defeat by the People.

Oh no, it'll go much farther than that.

Every household will have to take in a boat person and be responsible for their welfare and all expenses, laughing to be outlawed, the late Diana princess of Wales to be made a saint and winter storms will be abolished.

canary this is about potentially rejoining the EUSSR, 52% voted for brexit.  Try and stay on topic.

"What will he have to give away to get them to let us back in? Abolish the pound? More dosh than ever before? Capitulate to every silly rule they have in Brussels?"

Cos that's what'll 'appen! Snarl...

Yes, I believe he is - but it's no more than I expected from this bunch of charlatans.  Sunak told the electorate not to trust Starmer.  They should have listened.

'They' should have listened to Sunak, naomi?

How quickly you forget/rewrite history.

I haven't forgotten anything, Douglas, but on this they should have listened.   Sunak said Starmer isn't to be trusted and he's been proven correct.

Trouble was Sunak wasn't very trustworthy either. He still didn't sort the issues out. So why trust his voice when he states the blessed obvious ?

You seem to be picking sweetcorn from dung to be washed and re-used.

Because it was obvious.

Starmer is a traitor of the highest calibre, a 24 carat hypocrit and the most disingenuous cretin to ever hold the office of PM.

^That to OG.

hypothetically yes i think rejoining now would require us to join the euro and go without the opt-outs we secured while we were members. more importantly it would reopen the wounds left by the 2016 referendum and see this country bitterly divided once again. it would consume all of the government's time and attention and leave far more important problems neglected just like what happened after 2016. it simply is not what the country needs right now.

absolutely untitled, BA.

So some Tories think the Labour government should be as anti-EU as they are?

11:29 This is not about being anti EUSSR. This is about us rejoining in all but name and the PM basically turning everything oiver to unelected Eurocrats. The conditions they'll demand will be so harsh that even remoaners would baulk. We'll have to join the Euro, shengen, pay enough to make the red bus look like an 8 year olds pocket money. We'll be assimilated up to our necks. Future elections would be pointless.

The more I see of Starmer and his equally treacherous apologist Government the more I am convinced that Nigel Farage will be our next Prime Minister. One can but hope...

TTT. we shouldn't even be talking about 'conditions'.  It should be simply 'no'.  By the end of this 'reign' this pathetic lily-livered man and his abysmal government - none of whom have an iota of respect for this country or its people - will be regarded as the worst in the history.  They are dragging this country into a mire and are riding roughshod over the electorate.

I too think Mr Farage will be a future Prime Minister.

I've used it before, so apologies for that, but every time I see him mentioned, I'm reminded...

“[...] a most notable coward, an infinite and endless liar, an hourly promise breaker, the owner of no one good quality [...]”

AWTEW : 3,6

I see nothing ending well with this shower in charge.

Which red bus is that, Tora? The one we all previously misunderstood but now, coveniently, sported a statement of truth or is there another one lurking?
