Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

NINE MULTIPLY BY SIX DIVIDE BY TWO ADD NINETEEN and all we know is they say just add all the numbers, the answer is there? please can you help.

There are lots of ways of adding all the numbers and there are lots of ways of deciding what counts as a number in the first place.

These are designed to be trick, inconsistent questions to make a 'right' answer a matter mainly of chance.

omarpeter, i am not sure, my husband and i have tried all sorts of combinations, but they still say all you need is in the question, just add all the numbers? it's driving us crazy.

sorry sugarplumb but dzug is right. I expect this has come from one of those programmes where you have to phone a premium rate number to give the answer. These shows make their money from people phoning and it is not in their interests to make the answers easy - they want as big a profit as possible and so will, as dzug says, provide questions that can really only be answered by chance. Do not let it drive you crazy - switch over is the best way in my opinion!

As I understand it, you get charged just for getting through to the computer NOT for actually offering your answer. It`s no wonder these companies are mushrooming.

Yes this was on FTN at about 1230 last night/this morning - we had just got in from a boozy dinner but worked out the answer to be 114, Tried once calling the premium rate number [75p] but didn't get though so gave up and retired to bed with a glass of wine...! Would still love to know what the right answer is though!

that's right it is, we are going to try to stay up and see what the answer is, because it's really getting to us, we don't keep trying though because of the cost, we like watching the programme for entertainment value if nothing else, i must say though this one has got to us both and the rest of my family trying to find out the number, we think that hidden in the question are roman numerals and if you add all them up that will give you the answer!
