Insurance question (confused)
Hi all, would like to pick your brains...
My brother is a bit confused about insuring a vehicle he has just bought and would like to know which is the best way to go about insuring it.
The main point is he hasnt passed his test yet but the vehicle is going to be parked on the road outside the house and therefore needs to be insured as also the tax is due soon.
He is not intending to drive it alone, but will have a qualified driver next to him for extra lessons (his mum).
The vehicle will be registered to him so I presume it has to be insured to him. What type of insurance is best with present circumstances, is it better if he went on mums insurance would it be cheaper and would this affect her 3 yrs ncb if he had accident while having extra lessons from mum.
Can he insure it due to him not passing his test yet?? also if he can is he properley covered if he has a qualified driver next to him when taking lessons, and will he have the same cover as a qualified driver has say with 3rd party fire an theft if it was broken into etc
Sorry if my questions are a bit mixed up...really appreciate any help as he is desperate to start having extra lessons...an I will get less earache if I can explain this to him.... :-)

A good way of reducing the premium is to ad his mum to his insurance (not the other way around) this will reduce his premium, not affect her insurance, and start him building his own no claims discount.
phone around for lots of quotes, and check for cheaper quotes every time you come to renew it.
Hope that helps
