A post for all you Carry On Fans:
I recently purchased the newest Complete Carry On Film Book but was a bit dissapointed to see that there wasn't a section containing classic quotes from the films. So I was wondering if anyone can tell me their faves...
Here's a couple of mine:
C.Hawtrey: "Why Madame, what have you done?" (CO Camping)
K.Williams: "Many of them have it on thier coats of arms, 2 digits -rampant!" (CO Don't Lose Your Head)
Thanks!

Kenneth Williams, Carry on Cleo
"Oh, Hello....."
Charles Hawtry
"We're English, we're not going to do anything!"
"Untill it's too late"
Sid James, Carry On Up the Kyber
"Come Matron, surely you've seen a tempreture taken this way before!"
"Yes, but NEVER with a daffodil!"
Hattie Jakes, Carry On Nurse
There is one joke in Carry on Columbus which many people miss (btw it was an awful film and this is the only joke that makes me laugh).
They are on ship and a lady is looking over the side. Jack Douglas is there next to her.
She leans over and he says "watch out, if you fall in the sharks will eat you"
She asks "Do they eat you whole"
And he replies "No they spit that bit out"
Rather a rude joke if you look for it.
The line by Sid James in Carry on at your Convenience (set in the factory where they make toilets).
They have some new toilet designs in the managing directors office which they are trying out.
Sid takes out the Sun newspaper, sits on one for a bit, then stands up and says:
"I couldn't stand it for more than about 20 minutes"
My favourite is in 'Carry on Dick' when Sid James comes home late and Hattie Jacques as his housekeeper tells him he needs a wife. Sid says, 'Oh I don't know, I do have my warming pan you know' and Hattie replies 'Yes, but where would you be without me to put it in for you?'
The expression on Sid's face just cracks me up.
