Did anyone watch the programme on channel 5 last night about the woman who lost 30 stones? I thought it was very sad, especially when she had gone through so much and her last operation was to be done in the uk and the surgeon refused to do it at this present time. How deflated she must have fealt

Btw, how on earth does she pay for all of this? Do you think it is just loans? I hate to bring it up but sitting on her butt eating for most of her life will not have helped her hold down a job and as for savings, surely she spent what money she had on food.
I agree with sunflower about the British surgeon.
And also, I know her initial life-saving surgery helped her to loose 30 stone, but did they think about how she was going to eat sensibly after they'd reduced her capability of food intake and she'd lost the weight, she couldn't even stomach to eat 4 mouthfulls!... She's gone from one extreme to the other. I'm no expert but surely that can't be any good for her in the future. Her face and neck looked very gaunt!
I just felt it was a very unfortunate family, and it was very sad and moving to watch, as you say libertie, she obviously needs counselling. Why did she not have any of this before any of her surgical procedures? Even though she looks a lot better following her surgery, I dont think she'll ever be satisifed with her appearance. She needs to be happy within herself, after all, she still see's herself as the fat girl!
