A few other ideas- saw them diagonally and make some name/number plaques. make some bird feeders, saw into logs approx 10", drill lots of holes, fix wire loop for hanger and fill with nuts and fat etc (great for hungry birds in winter!. Use as rustic log edging in the garden around borders, it will probably rot within a couple of years, but hey! its another good turn for wildlife. All the Best.
Don't know whether you have much space in your garden but if you do, make a small log pile, with lots of spaces at lower level for frogs, hedgehogs and other insects to shelter in and hibernate. A lot of our wildlife suffers because they either don't have the right habitat to breed in or shelter in.
