Party Bag Toys...What are/were your best & worst?

I'm asking you lot, because everyone in the parenting section will be in bed, and I need to buy some tomorrow for Saturday (I know I know) anyway in your experience which are the good, the bad and the damn right ugly? That is ... the ones the kids are impressed with, the ones they think are naff and the ones that create an interest but won't work without a lot of effort from the parents. Or some you yourself remember being a great cheap toy. I almost bought some of them fish that curl up in the palm of your hand if you lie, remembering being impressed myself, but hey times move on. Help if you can.

Yo Yo's....my grandaughter went to a party last week and got a mini one in her goodie bag....she played with it for hours.

pencils, sharpener, balloons, kinder eggs. try wilkinsons or a pound shop, or you could just get them a lcky bag each from woolworths!
