What were the names of the young sleuths,(cousins) who appeared in a series of radio plays and books in the 1940's?
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

There are the cousins Titus, Timothy and Sarah-Jane that appear in a number of books. I cannot say if they were depicted in radio plays. Hope this may help.
Sorry, I forgot to add that the books are by Elspeth Campbell Murphy
The Hardy Boys(?)
Hardy Boys were brothers not cousins.

thanks WB long time since I read those!!
APPEALING CHARACTERS
As cousins, Timothy, Titus, and Sarah-Jane share a special bond (and arent encumbered by sibling rivalry!). And since two of the three main characters are boys, the books appeal equally well to boys and girls. In fact, most of the fan mail comes from boys!

Elsbeth Campbell Murphy wrote her books more recently than 1940. Never read any but enjoyed the Hardy Boy Books when younger. Havent been able to find anything about 1940's series of plays. Will keep looking.
Try `The Famous Five` by Enid Blyton. They were written in the 1940`s` There are four cousinsJulie, Dick, Anne and `George` ( Georgina) and the dog Timmy.
I thought Julian, Dick and Ann were brothers and sister. George is the cousin.
George is their cousin, they are his cousins.
Are you thinking of "Norman and Henry Bones, boy detectives" which I can just about remember so would have been in the late 1940's. The characters were played by Charles Hawtrey and Patricia Hayes (I think?)
I believe that it was Will Hay who played alongside Charles Hawtrey.
Sorry boaw but I was able to check later and the younger Bones was definitely played by Patricia Hayes, presumably his voice had not yet broken!!!
JRB - Sorry I did not acknowledge your comment. I have checked with a book, the Radio Companion, and you are absolutely right. Sorry if I misled anybody.
