I prefer the Auditions when total muppets really believe they are gonna be the next big thing. My G/F loves the live shows when she can fawn over the likes of shayne ward and will young etc..
As i stated in another post in the X-factor Classification i thought the jaws soundtrack and the winking granny were very very funny just had a feeling it was staged a little too much.
Although i sometimes think they just totally rip the pi$$ out of people that are obviously "not all there".....if you know what i mean.
And i hate those parents that get their poor kids to audition after convincing them that they sound like Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey, when they clearly dont have the ability to sing a note in tune. Its really sad and will do nothing but totally ruin their confidence when up against the likes of Simon!
I much prefer the audition stages on all reality TV shows apart from Strictly Dance Fever, where I think the live shows are more interesting.
You get some real comedy moments on the Pop Idol/X Factor audition stages (loved the old granny and the guy who thought he was michael jackson!). The Live stages I find really boring
Oh easily auditions over the live shows... the auditions are a laugh a minute and I love trying to guess whether they'll be good or awful after telling the judges that their inspiration is Madonna (like that crazy lady who did 'like a prayer' last show), Mariah Carey or someone!
I am always disappointed about who gets kicked out and usually by who wins... like Shayne 'can't really sing but I look good, if youlike that sort of thing' Ward! ERGH! Maria was robbed!!!
I posted a question previously asking if everyone thought the auditions go on a bit loo long. Most of the replies disagreed saying that they love the auditions as on this one. I too love the auditions, but I understand that these ones will go on another 4 or 5 weeks until we get to boot camp stage. I remember last year getting a bit bored by seeing the same old type of people murdering songs and being really glad when they moved on to the next stage. I love the live shows and get really into who I want to win and who should go immediately! So for me I would like to see just another two weeks at the most of auditions, then onto boot camp for another couple of weeks and then into the live shows.
Cheers Sue
