boy band on x factor

In the last part of X Factor tonight was a boy band who sang 'leave right now'. Anyway im sure one of the boys got quite far in the last series of Pop Idol...did anyone else notice him ?

Yeah i saw him,apparently there's a bit of trouble with "Avenue" they have been put together by G4s manager,so not sure if they will be kicked out of it.....

yeah I heard this, they've already been signed so I don't think they'll be able to go further with the competition.

When I read of the Avenue story I was sure I recognised one of the lads' names. He's Jamie Tinkler. Found nothing on google or wiki but I'm pretty sure he was a Piop Idol 2 finalist.

That was his name !!! I knew he had a sort of funny surname as i could see Ant and Dec laughing with him about it ! Thanks everyone !

yeh I remember him from the second pop Idol as a friend of mine has the same surname and she knows it sounds weird

He was on the X factor final 50. He had a rather bad performance and I remember Simon slagging him off for it. Jamie then tried to blame the pianist which hacked Simon off even more. He never got through.
He then went into the band Pop! who had a couple of hits. they were a 2 boy 2 girl group. Nothing spectacular hence their career ended rather soon.
