Why do Little Britain take the mick out of Dennis Waterman? I just bought the Live DVD and was quite shocked by the kids TV host sketch where 2 men were invited up on stage to play 'hide the sausage'. If you've seen it, don't you think Walliams went too far in pulling the guys jeans so far down you could virtually see everything? I know it's meant to be a laugh, but...

It all stems from the fact that David Walliams/matt Lucas said they met Dennis Waterman once and mentioned that he was smaller than they thought he was. The character grew from that idea.
i've seen the dvd, and to me it just proved that little britain is past it's sell - by date , parts of the dvd i just cringed at ,other parts were just not the slightest bit funny and went on too long ,another example was when marjorie got the fat lady from the audience, cringe!! cringe!! i just hope she and the 2 guys in the hide the sausage sketch were stooges and not real members of the audience
i saw it live and wasnt shocked by it...it is little britain after all ! but didnt find it that funny.i find a lot of their sketches very samey and once youve seen the character a few times it gets repetitive.
I went to see Little Britain on Saturday and I although I usually love it but I thought the show was rubbish! Very predictable and I felt they were just rushing the show so they could just get it over with! The first half started at 8.15 and the interval began at 8.45...it felt like a real money-spinner. However I can clear one thing up I had a friend that went a few weeks ago and he was pulled up on stage so they are real audience members. He didn't even get a thank-you after the humiliation either!
I saw Little Britain in Manchester two weeks ago and I thought it was funnier than the TV series. Sadly though, the best bit was when they went 'off script' and began bantering between themselves. I know some people think it's reached the end of its lifespan, but there wasn't a person in the theatre who wasn't screaming with laughter.
