in the affluent town where i live ; P you tend to 'see' what i call 'proper' celebrities knocking about example: this morning in my local Booths//Waitrose Cafe i saw Betty (hot-pot) Driver !!!!! i can sense your all thinking Wow!........... wish we lived near you Curly, and ALSO filling up HER VERY OWN CAR was Blanche (Diedre's Mum) at my local petrol station!! (ooooooh check me out!)
Now if you think you can better this (be truthful now) i would llke to know, oh and with regard to Betty Driver................................miserable grumpy old bag!!

living in london, and working near covent garden i often see celebs floating around the place. so far have seen lisa scott lee (from 'steps'), kevin spacey, johnny vegas, natalie appleton, lowri turner, justin (from 'the darkness'), john simm (life on mars) and plenty of others that i can't remember!

I stood behind Babs Windsor in Boots once she was buying tubs and tubs of slimfast powder. She said you go first love I'm just piddling about (but in a cockney accent).

Saw Rik Mayal with a friend walked past us and we couldn't help but laugh fortunately he cracked up too.

Gary Lineker was walking in front of me once - he's really short!!

I opened a door for Jack Lemon when he was stuck in a house I used to work in.

Adam Faith offered to buy me a drink years ago in the American Bar while I was waiting for my husband.

A few footy players used to go in my local pub in N London but I never knew who any of them were so couldn't get as excited as my (very cool!!) husband - muppet!
When you saw Betty were you wearing your tiger slippers - she probably went back to the Rovers and told them all she saw a nutcase out in her pjs and slippers in the garage!!!! :o)

When we lived in the same town as you curlyperm (but we lived in the city centre) our neighbour was Lucy Jo Hudson (Katie Harris). Also in the city lives/lived Barbara Knox (Rita), John Savident (Fred), Lynne Perrie (Ivy), Kate Ford (Tracy), Johnny Briggs (Mike). And Tony Wilson, Ryan Giggs and more.

Used to live in West Didsbury and at the height of his alcoholism phase, used to play (and beat, but then again, it weren't too difficult..) Curly Watts at table football and pool in his local pub, The Barleycorn. Could have told you he was partial to the odd-pint years ago..!!! Then moving into the city centre, my star-spotting went into overdrive with all the usual suspects...Gary Neville, the ginger bloke off Corrie from a couple of years ago (Tommy..??), Les Battersby, the fat ginger one from Corrie (???), Claire Sweeney (30 seconds guys..!!).....oh the list is never-ending.. These days I live in Newcastle and drive past Scott Parker & Nobby Solano en route to training every day....WOW!!!!

Hey i used to live in west didsbury!!! i used to see curley drinking in the barleycorn with his (huge) then girlfriennd now wife claire.
At this time (king) dick and judy used to live on ............er............ one of those mock tudor houses on 'the avenue' i think it was called! AND they used to shop in that tesco (before he got caught nicking wine)

Yup, his missus was slightly large....great personality I bet though (as people say). In fact Steve McDonald used to drink in there too....seem to remember him trying to hide from Curly one night when he was lashed by sitting right out of view...it didn't work!! He found him!! My best one was a couple of years ago in the Woodstock one Saturday lunchtime when I saw Jimi Goodwin, lead singer of Doves - my favourite band - enjoying a lunchtime pint of Guinness and soup on his own...is that sufficient stalker-fodder for you..??!! Or would I need to say that his soup was broccoli and stilton??? (only joking)

oh well, im off to go cleb spotting, but i was working in a pub once round didsbury and curley came in (at the height of his 'fame?') with a load of mates, had no cash........... and then pulled the 'dont you no who i am' classic, to which i replied 'yeah, but its still �7.45?

I used to live in Wimbledon and during the tennis would see a lot of the players around and about. Trouble is I f***ing hate tennis so it just used to annoy me!

Where I work now in Fitzrovia (yes, it really is called that - in estate agents windows!) I've seen Ricky Gervais (quite short), Malcolm McLaren (great overcoat), Neil Tennant having sone food outside Planet Organic, David Walliams (quite tall) and Griff Rhys Jones (lives near here).

Once followed someone in Amsterdam that hubby and I thought was Paul Weller - still think it was but we daren't go up and accoust him to confirm it in case he got us!

sat next to roy wood on a plane to portugal, seen that bloke from corrie richard hillman he was buying cold sore cream at an airport my daughter was on holiday with ali g, cant think of anymore

I live in Manchester City Centre and used to work right near Granada Studios so have seen most of the Corrie cast and there are a couple of the pubs nearby loads of them are in after work. Went to a do once with Tracy Barlow and Sunita.

Ended up in a pub once sat next to Steve McDonald, Bradley Walsh, Janice, Craig Charles etc... which was a bit wierd :) Have also seen Kevin Webster and Fizz and Shaun in there too and there's another pub Les Battersby is also in.

Also seen Alan Sugar, Robson Green, Rio Ferdinand, Nick Leeson, Natasha Kaplinsky, David Walliams in Harvey Nics, Donna Air, Lisa Faulker, Mubbs from Holby City and others.

Have also seen quite a few of the Emmerdale cast when I lived in Leeds though have actually seen more of them in Manchester usually shopping! Also used to see Sarah Smith from the Braithwaites etc... who used to be picked up from right behind where I used to work. Seen Kay Mellor by there too.

When clubbing in London ended up dancing with Ronnie and Mickey from Eastenders. Also seen some of the Big Brother people about and seen that Jeremy bloke from Holby City/Hollyoaks. Darlene from Hollyoaks was in my gym once where JK and Joel also used to go and Tyrone from Corrie usedo play footie.

When i was in LA saw Steve Martin who was filming at Venice Beach on a bike!

Oh and my mate nearly got run over by Gail Platt haha :)

WOW!!!! Jenna THAT is some list!!! The pub that you went near grnada studios was it the grapes? think thats owned by one of them, and i know they all use it regularly?

Yeah, the Grapes which is owned by Liz Dawn, pictures of her all over the walls. Only ever tend to see Les in there though.

The other one is the Ox on Liverpool Street, gorgeous pub and does the most amazing food!

Used to work in Quay Street so they were both work locals.

ah yes the ox noble, remmeber it well, i used to work in most of the pubs in manchester (good few years ago) friend of mine has the white lion on liverpool street now, its all gone dead post round castlefield now!! i used to go in Henrys at the back of kendals and also Horts wine bar in st anne square think its a macdonalds now, used to see all the coronation st lot mooching up deansgate hoping to be spotted lol x
