kempie
I could do with your help again kempie, I'm applying this formula to a column but don't want the result to show until an entry is made into the date column for that day. Currently I have to drag the formuls down daily in the total column or have a column alreadt filled with the reulting total so far that reaches as far as I've dragged the formula, any ideas really appreciated.
formula is =IF(A26>0,G26,G26+L25)
A26 represents 1st of the month (but not a date format) G is Total for day and L is running total for the month.
Do I make any sense? hope so, cheers mate

The formula is yours.
It says If the Cell A1 has an entry (Your Date for instance) then do your original formula, otherwise leave the cell blank. Just change A1 to the cell which contains your date.
You can drag the formula down and the cells will be blank until there is an entry in the date column.

No it didn't, there is nothing showing in L unless there is a value >0 in "A" and it doesn't add the totals in "L" either.
Perhaps I haven't explained myself well enough. can I refer to to this question thanks
