Is Shilpa a famous Bollywood Actress or not....... something has happen and is she trying to raise her profile in the UK......my gut instinct is telling something fishy is going on. Apparently there is two new Bollywood Films due to be released in the UK which she has a part in. She has certainly made a household name for herself in the UK.

Shilpa is not the Bollywood equivalent of Angelina Jolie or Julia Roberts, as was reported by some of the papers. I would say she is more in line with the Kirsten Dunst and Christina Ricci types; very well known faces, but not quite mainstream 'A' listers. Bollywood seems to favour actresses in their twenties, whereas Hollywood prefers leading actresses to be in their thirties. I think Shilpa is wisely looking to widen her appeal.
Still not put my finger on it, but I think I getting closer
"Day 21, 18:14: Shilpa is getting excited about the Bollywood Awards, held in a different country each year. This year it just happens to be the UK. "That's going to be fantastic, because I think I'll be the only one that's recognised!" she laughed"
The star laughed when she realised that she would be the only actor famous to the British general public at this year's IIFA Awards, an annual Bollywood awards ceremony. This year's event is held in Yorkshire on June 9.
Although British notoriety has its perks, she quickly realised one of the major drawbacks. "I used to leave my country and come here or New York to shop so I wouldn't be disturbed," she explained. "Now another country is out of bounds as far as shopping is concerned."
