How the hell do they think that we believe they makeover a whole house in 60 minutes??

I actually work on the show and it IS done in 60 minutes - cross my heart!!!

We do prep carefully before we start, mask-up areas and that sort of thing, but nothing is started before the whistle blows. The whole credibility of the show would be jeopardised if we didn't stick to the rules. Sometimes it's an incredibly close finish... and occasionally we don't completely finish, but that's the way it goes.

A huge amount of time goes into thinking about the project before the makeover day, making sure that what we want to do is achievable.

The team is there all day.. don't forget we have an hour-long programme to record and a house-full of furniture and clobber to move out and then move back in again! It's incredibly hard work, but worth it. The homeowners are always left with a spotless house, tidy garden and everything as it should be.
