I can't find any trace of this on the Internet.

As I said - it's an SF clip show with Robin Williams doing funny scenes between clips.

One I remember was him as a Jewish space-traveller shouting back to his wife in the spaceship, something like

" Sophie - stay in the spaceship . You've waited a lightyear you can wait a bit longer "

Can someone confirm that I didn't just dream this !!

No it wasn't.

Thanks for answering, but it was actual clips from old SF film like The Day the Earth Stood Still and War Of The Worlds etc. with humorous sketches inbetween clips.
