Sky of course can offer TV, Broadband and have a deal with BT for their phones.
Virgin Media can now offer TV, Broadband, Phones and Mobile Phones.
So Sky do not like Virgin Media and Virgin Media do not like Sky.
The problem is that Virgin Media need to pay Sky money to show Sky1, Sky News, Sky Sports News ets.
Sky decided to ask for more money from Virgin Media to show these channels, and Virgin Media said no way.
So Sky said if you wont pay the money you cant show the channels.

One other reason Sky and Virgin do not like each other....
A few months ago Virgin Media / NTL showed an interest in buying all the ITV Channels. This would have given them a load of channels to compete against Sky.
So Sky went out and bought about a 10% stake in the ITV Channels, making it hard for Virgin Media to now buy ITV.
This realy pi55ed off Virgin so there is now quite a battle between Virgin and Sky.
So I am afraid you are caught up in all this big business
in-fighting.
