Don't most of the Eastenders cast move to Manchester when they leave Walford,anyway? It's like Perth in Neighbours.
Actually I think the Eastenders would have a difficult time acclimatizing to Weatherfield as it's so much jollier in Corrie.

They did that in America. Doug and Carrie (from King of Queens) had Raymond and Debora (from Everyone Loves Raymond) in a few episodes, they also had Lou ferringo (spelt correctly) aka the Incredicle Hulk, in it as himself.

And before the Crossroads comeback, the owner of the motel turned up at a Brookside wedding as the same character
