If anything its the kids that are victims being brainwashed from age 6 to recite what theyve been told is "the truth"

Why were they so fixated on gays?

The truly weird thing was that the daughters seemed like such sweet girls. They just had this black vein of hate running through them for this one issue.

What are the bets that the pastor has had some incident in his past where he was turned down by a friend, or his father ran off with another man etc. He certainly seemed to be proving his heterosexuality with as many children as possible.

The same reason that they picketed funerals and rejoiced in road traffic deaths, or cancer deaths. They saw it as God showing the world that he was displeased with homosexuality and that he was sending people to hell! They were rejoicing in the fact that people were getting what they deserved

The Pastor bloke is secretly gay and cannot reconcile it with his strong religious beliefs. So in his crusade against gays he's trying to convince himself and his god that he's not a screaming queen and that by his own beliefs destined to burn in hell.
