Tracey In eastenders

Has anyone ever seen or heard Tracey (barlady) have a conversation with anyone in an episode of Eastenders? I've only seen her laugh or nod.
Are there any other similar type characters in other soaps?

There was Walter in Emmerdale for many years back when it was Emmerdale Farm who was only ever seen in the pub.He probably couldn't speak because he was always being bought drinks.

Tracey does speak v occasionally and Winston is another one who doesnt say much.

i think it maybe something to do with their Equity Card, i think it has to be of a certain level to be able to speak?

If the extras speak, they have to be paid more. Some of the extras, like Jonathon Ross`s mum, have been in the same soap for years.

Yeah Big Ron never said a lot he growled occasionally and i remeber he spoke once when Robbie thought he was gonna kill him for nailing his daughter.
