Where on earth did they get Rowdy from? In one episode they get another one (Steven). Where from??

i know that Carla got the Janitor to get Steven (he traded it with someone for his stuffed squirrel army) cause she lost Rowdy when she attempted to have his cleaned, as far as i'm aware, neither turk nor jd have noticed the switch ;)

The question I meant to ask was where did they get Rowdy from for the show. I love scrubs and know that Rowdy was bought from a garage sale and was not a family pet of JD's which was mooted in one episode. But are these things real stuffed dogs? If so, where from?
