rules and regulations of the x factor

my daughter has been singing for some seven years now, she was to young for the x factor last year by 4 days so has decided to have a go this year, she got thriugh the first round ok her second one is next month. However just before christmas last year she signed to a small independant label, it's quite a loose contract really stating that if either party are not satisfied with how the other is working then either could just walk away from the deal. it took a while for things to get moving, it's only a three single deal, she has just started a couple of weeks ago so the contract officially starts from then. The record label tell her to go for it even if they suspend the contract as I think they are thinking of possible promotion, but they also seem to think it's ok to still go ahead with it and that it's not against the rules, the band "Avenue" got disqualified last year I know but they were managed which is very different, what do you think, we are both getting worried in case she gets thriugh the next round

Why not write to the producers and get clarification?

Personally, seeing as how she's already got a deal, I'd get her to stick aith that and see how it goes - the X Factor makes great tv but is terrible for stomping on kids' dreams.
