Does anyone know how they film The Apprentice? It's not live is it? I have noticed that when someone is fired and they show them going out to the cab they are in different clothes so thats bad continuity.

They say they do a task a week but then the tasks are generally for 1 or 2 days so what do they do the rest of the week? we never see the other footage??

Any ideas? or speculations?

No, it's not live, strangely enough(!). It's not literally one task a week either, it's more condensed than that. And on the other days they have those talking heads bits to film where they slag each other off. The "cab walks" are all filmed at the start of the series, so not only do they often have different clothes on, sometimes their hairstyles change or they suddenly put weight on...

I used to wonder about the walk to the cab too, then someone pointed out that they have the same clothes on, just a coat on over the top, which I assume they have picked up somewhere on the way

I'm sure the cab bit is not "live" they must all be done at the beginning, I suppose that would stop leaks of what is going to happen. They often have different clothes or hair styles.

I just don't understand why they try and make out like it is one a week when it clearly isn't. It would probably ruin the show and make it too much big brother ish if they showed what happened during the other time but I would be interested to see who gets on or doesn't.

I thought I read that its not live until the actual final, when theyre down to the final 2, and currently those people are working with Beardy now, and of course in the ned only one will actually get the "6-figure" salary at the end

I watched this weeks one last night (had it recorded) and see what you mean about the clothes. Naomi had a grey suit on in the boardroom but a black one on when she walked to the car.

What I dont understand is, when she was being interviewed in the car when it was driving, how come she had the black suit on? If this was filmed beforehand how could she have been interviewed about what went on in the boardroom? I'm totally confused now!

Maybe they actually tried to keep some continuity and had her change into the black suit for filming the last bit. Though if they were that keen to maintain continuity, they should have filmed it in daylight instead of suddenly cutting to a night-time scene.
