Adverts NEW! When does it get OLD?

I see adverts for 'NEW' products and very old. When does a product or service become OLD? I only ask cos the Adverts section has been 'NEW!' for MANY MANY months and there are other adverts WAY older that still pretend to be new, how many have you seen?
