Another 100 bests, last night. This time 100 best war movies. The first 50 were shown last night and the next 50 will be shown next Saturday, that equals to 6 hours viewing.
Now don't get me wrong I am not complaining because I am a bit of a war movie addict, the only trouble is my wife hates them, shush ! she doesn't know there is another 50 to go next week.
Ah now there is a good film Joe, I haven't watch it in quite a while. Must get it on DVD, be interesting to see if Group Captain Gibson's dog's name has been dubbed over.
I won't tell you what it is as you may want to see the result, but in my humble opinion number 3 was far superior, and number 1 was over-rated tosh. But that's a public vote for you. (When will people realise that they are all wrong and to just ring me for the correct opinion? Sighs...)
Hey Goodsoulette, yeah the pianist is one of my most favourite films of all time!! What a performance by Adrien Brody!! Would you call it a war movie though?? Ive had this debate many a time!! My fav war movie would have to be platoon!!
well If Schindlers list could get in the top 10 I dont see why not. I spose the holocaust was a syptom of the war so, maybe. You actually see a bit more war action in this film too than t'other. I think the difference with Pianist is hes a very easy character to empathise with and its following one persons journey.
I rate platoon though, its wicked. The only vietnam film I can think of that i have watched and thought was dire was we were men....urghh,,,,awful
