Hi does anyone know how to turn the tv off and not leave it in standby ? apart from turning it off at the wall ?

Not familiar with that tv, but mine does not have a power buton, it only have a stand by button, if i press it it goes to stand by, if i press and hold it, it turns off...yours might be the same

leave it in stand by the power it uses is not worth bothering with
un plug if you going away though for any length of tiomer

Tests revealed that standby power consumption varied widely among different TVs. In most cases, it's just a few watts, but we found several TVs that used more than 10 watts in standby. In any case, it adds up.
