I am looking for a copy of a rare T. V. series but I don't think it was ever released on DVD or VHS. Is there anything on the net where I can post a request to buy this series? As it is a present for a very dear friend money is no object.

You might try Freecycle, to ask whether anyone has a copy. But perhaps better yet, contact the BBC and see whether they have access to it...I do know the British Museum has an amazing collection of media items, including rare shows. I wish I could provide you with more intelligent thoughts.

V V always gives fab answers.

Have you tried ebay?

There is a website call raretv.co.uk - they may be able to put you in touch with someone?

It sounds like a very thoughtful gift :)
From what I can see it was shown on channel 5 in 2000. I would email them and ask if it is possible to get a copy through channel 5.
It was shown on Channel 5 so the BBC would be no good.

Not on ebay or Amazon, but if it was never released on dvd or video I wouldn't expect it to be. It would be illegal to sell it.

Try contacting Channel 5.

Is that why you chose your username, or is that just a coincidence?
