Hi, I've recently purchased a new samsung lcd hd ready tv, the problem is in recording from tv to dvd [ both have freeview inbuilt], the recorded pictures are almost unwatchable, ghosting, wobbling, lips move sound follows later etc. Please any answers in P L A I N english as i'm the original technophobe. Thanks in advance.

are you running it with a bipole demultiplexer? If so you need a SCART adaptor that will allow this to run with a standard HD source and convert back to PAL.

Non technical, but perhaps your leads are causing the ghosting. I had this years ago, never sussed it, and it was only when I had to do something at the back and moved the leads away from each other that I realised this was the cause. Mind you, that wouldn't explain the other things.
It may be that you simply need to buy a "HD" dvd recorder.
