On last night's ITV Drama "My Son Jack", did anyone else notice that at the beginning of the drama, when Rudyard Kipling was addressing an audience at the start of WW1, the Union Flag in front of the podium, was upside down?
The white diagonal above the red diagonal in the top left-hand corner of the flag, was narrow instead of broad.

Later a soldier who was with Jack in France, arrived at the Kipling's home and told them that Jack had been killed when his company were attacking the German lines.
To this news Kipling began to blame himself for pressing his Son into the Army, but was consoled by his wife and Daughter, when they explained that Jack would have most likely joined even without his Father pulling a few strings.
