Got a Christmas card through the post today from a hotel we stayed in last year in Blackpool lol!! Now, obviously they send them out with their own interests at heart, but the idea is a little sad isn't it! A couple of years ago we got one from our new next door neighbours, we had been having problems with loud music blaring out, they signed it 'from the noisy gets next door' Saved that one! So, anyone had any unusual Christmas cards this year??

Well not a Xmas card, but we did recieve a birthday card from the NHS for Mini Boo last week- which was strange.
I usually get them from relatives I can't stand..or people I have no wish to be associated with ...and from a load of charities who think they can tug my purse strings at this time of year.
Yes, I got home from work this evening to find a package for me. On opening it, I found it was a book I had lent to a friend a few months ago, accompanied by a christmas card which said the most horrible (and untrue btw) things about me, then was signed "Sincerely C------------". Stranger still, the postmark on the package was dated two days BEFORE we had chatted happily on the phone.

I had to find a drink after that one !

Had 2 properties rewired recently and the electrician has sent me a card. I expect I've helped pay for quite a few pressies.

My friend always gets a card, in her name, personally signed - from the local chinese take away. And they deliver it separately from her dinner.

My first card in my new house was from - Kleeneze!
That hotel shouldn't really have sent a card. It was a kind idea but what if you had stayed there on the quiet with someone other than your partner.
I have got a few charity ones this year but they have included books of raffle tickets for me to sell !
I sent my mum a card and signed it from a totally made up family cos I knew it would drive her mad not knowing who had sent it. It's hilarious watching her looking all puzzled and trying to rack her brains who they are lol
I'll tell her in a few weeks.....she'll laugh.
